We participated in a press call with Parks and Rec stars Amy Poehler and Adam Scott, as well as executive producer Mike Schur. We got a lot of great info on the show and even a little bit of information on tonight’s nuptials.
It was pretty much a given after Kristen Wiig received an Academy Award nomination for co-writing the comedy juggernaut Bridesmaids that she would wind down her seven-year run on Saturday Night Live this May. It wasn’t a given that they would bid her goodbye so very sweetly.
I can’t imagine all the preparation that goes into doing a live show. When I heard 30 Rock would go live again, I got excited. I thought the last live show was hilarious and wondered what they’d do to up their game. I enjoyed all the “flashbacks” to live TV shows of yesteryear. Did this episode move the show’s plot forward? Not so much. Was it really fun and funny to watch? Oh yeah.

The cast and producers of NBC’s Parks and Recreation appeared on the fifth night of the Paley Center’s annual TV festival simply known as PaleyFest. They nicely filled in for the cast and crew of The Office, who had to cancel at the last minute due to production scheduling issues. The audience screened the March 8 episode as well as an exclusive end of Season 4 gag reel. Though there were many of the show’s cast members missing in action, the evening was so much fun and so incredibly hilarious.

Leslie Knope and Ben Wyatt are easily one of the cutest couples on TV yet they haven’t been in a relationship all season long. The obstacles? The election and Chris’ precious no coworkers dating rule. And while Parks and Recreation has been on fire with entertaining episode after entertaining episode, it’s been hard seeing these two try to navigate life without each other. Ben’s been this sad character and Leslie just hasn’t seemed complete. I hoped they’d just forget everything keeping them apart and get together already.
I hear this show has come a long way from its early days, but I still don’t watch it. That doesn’t mean we can’t have mid-season crushes on Adam Scott and Rob Lowe. It just means we’ll admire from afar.
