Hannibal “Fromage”

Even though Hugh Dancy‘s Will Graham is quite attractive, it’s hard for me to see him as any sort of sexual being. Actually, I take that back. It’s hard to imagine a woman brave enough to take on his damage for any amount of time. I feel like his “gift” of looking is the only thing he knows how to do, like it’s the longest relationship he’s ever had. And, of course, he has sexual urges and I’m sure he’s had relationships in the past but…it’s hard to imagine anyone willing to get intimate with a man who sleepwalks and has both visual and auditory hallucinations regularly.

TV Goodness Says Goodbye to NBC’s The Office

image

“T-shirt idea: Goodbyes stink.” No one can sum up tonight better than Michael Scott. As a loyal Office fan (yes, I know the show’s had a few rough patches, but all in all, it’s provided me with hours of laughter and endless quoting opportunities), I’m not ready to say goodbye to Jim, Pam, Dwight, Angela and the rest of the gang. Yes, most of these characters would drive me crazy in real life, but that didn’t for one second stop me from wishing I could be a Dunder Mifflin employee. Never have safety training, performance reviews or blood drives been so much fun. However, it’s safe to say I’m not the only person who will miss these inappropriate, unpredictable and often awkward workplace experiences. In a recent press call, John Krasinski told us how Dunder Mifflin has changed his life and what he’ll miss the most:

Premature Infatuation: NBC’s “Chicago PD” [PHOTOS]

For those fans of Chicago Fire that didn’t know it, last night’s episode “Let Her Go” was a backdoor pilot for the spin-off titled Chicago PD that NBC just recently announced would be picked up for the 2013-2014 season.  I have to admit I was a little skeptical, but after last night’s superb episode, Chicago PD has made my short-list of “must-watch” shows in the Fall.

Premature Infatuation: The Blacklist [VIDEO]

image

It has been a long, long time since a television series has really caught my eye, but NBC’s The Blacklist has definitely piqued my interest.  To make it even better, it stars James Spader.  I’ve never really watched The Office, but was an avid viewer of Boston Legal.  Ever since Boston’s cancellation, I’ve been hoping the Emmy-winning Spader would find another series that would adequately showcase his magnificent talent.  My gut tells me The Blacklist is the series I’ve been waiting for.

Guest Star Goodness: Hannibal “Entrée”

In “Entrée,” someone is making Jack think his former protegé Miriam - presumed dead for years - is still alive. He keeps getting calls from her, her fingerprint is found on his home phone and some of her hair is even found on his wife’s pillow. He makes the mistake of letting himself believe Miriam might still be alive so it’s particularly devastating when they find her severed arm. On top of all that, Jack is trying to deal with his wife’s diagnosis. He’s asked Hannibal to break confidentiality on their sessions, but Hannibal won’t. Jack says he does it with Will, but Hannibal reminds Jack he and Will are just talking; Will isn’t his patient.

Hannibal “Coquilles”

A Relationship, Challenged

Jack’s worried about the state of his marriage. His wife Bella (the always wonderful Gina Torres), has been pulling away for weeks and he can’t fathom why. Jack assures her he won’t insult her by asking if there’s another man (although that statement is, in fact, an accusation), but he can’t get her to talk. Bella does need an outlet so she begins to see Hannibal, who assures her their sessions aren’t a conflict of interest. Hannibal will be of more help to her because he has a special insight into Jack and his work.

Let the (Mind) Games Begin, Hannibal “Potage”

image

Dr. Lecter is so pleased that Will is on to him - or, at least, on to the copycat killer. Just watching Mads Mikkelsen’s face as Will talks about the copycat as “intelligent, a sadist” makes this particular scene so satisfying to watch. When Will goes on to speculate that the copycat will never kill like this again, maybe we see some wheels turning in Lecter’s brain. This killer had intimate knowledge of Hobbs’ crimes and he elevated what he knew about them to make his copycat crimes art. How intimately did this killer know Hobbs? Did he know Hobbs from afar or did he ingratiate himself into Hobbs’ life? They know Hobbs received a call from someone just before the FBI arrived at his house. Will believes that caller is their copycat. And, of course, we know that’s true.
