Happy Saturday, y’all! Lifetime is unspooling its latest cheesy woman-in-peril-with-a-touch-of-the-supernatural flick tonight. And I say that with genuine affection. I love these movies—and there have been several. Dangerous Intuition follows a jilted wife who has visions that make her fear for her daughter’s safety after her ex-husband remarries.

Lifetime Movie Preview Call Me Crazy: A Five Film

Lifetime returns to its successful anthology mode tonight with a follow on to its 2011 breast cancer-thermed Five with Call Me Crazy: A Five Film, premiering tonight at 8/7c. A series of short films, individually assigned a single name—“Grace,” Allison,” “Eddie,” Lucy,” and “Maggie”—and interconnected in unexpected ways which we won’t spoil here, each tells the story of someone struggling with mental illness or affected by someone struggling with mental illness. That in itself is not new territory for TV, or even for Lifetime, but the pedigree of these short films is impressive, and worth making time to watch.

Doctor Who “Cold War”

The Doctor and Clara think they’re off to Vegas for some sun and fun, but they land in a Russian submarine just after they’ve run a drill to launch their nuclear weapons. David Warner’s Professor Boffin has brought a specimen on board, so the captain thinks this expedition won’t be a total waste of time. They believe it’s a mammoth, when in actuality it’s an Ice Warrior. The creature attacks the crew and causes enough damage to the sub that it begins to sink. That’s when The Doctor suggests Liam Cunningham’s Captain Zhukov maneuver laterally. If they come to rest on an underwater ridge, they’ll stop sinking.

A quote from Lost alum Harold Perrineau’s character (Stevie) on the new TBS show Wedding Band.

"Easily the second worst ending to a TV show ever.” “What’s the first?” “Isn’t it obvious? Seinfeld."
