Damages “But You Don’t Do That Anymore”

A surprising and unexpected death. A career change. A deathbed chat. A betrayal. A surprising capitulation. An admission. What a ride. The moment that affected me the most was Patty’s bedside chat with her father. I’m going to have to agree with him that he made Patty the person she is today. All that abuse turned Patty into the win-at-all costs person she’d become. Not only does she go after the bully, but she doesn’t think her job is done until they’re humiliated, disgraced, and broke. Unfortunately a lot of innocent people get hurt along the way, but that’s collateral damage Patty can usually handle. Only this time her son pays the ultimate price.

We’ve known for weeks that the season two finale was going to be epic, and we’d had the very bad cast tease us mercilessly there would be a body count. Well, they were right on both counts.

The series hit a reset in a major way, and if the CW had closed the door last week, instead of happily greenlighting a third season, we’d have been OK because it left with Nikita and co. alive and well and embarking on a daring new path on their own terms.

It Was So Good To See You: Guide To Guest Stars (Week of April 1)

It’s April and that means we are edging even closer to the end of the 2011-2012 TV season. And that means the shows are amping up their guest star wattage, bringing on ever more interesting guest stars to their weekly dramas. This past week was no exception with the following guest appearances:

First on last Sunday night’s new episode of Army Wives on Lifetime, actress Alyssa Diaz appeared as the wife of a recently married couple, whose husband is a Marine under Trevor’s direct order. Alyssa is best known for her recurring role on the short-lived ABC Family Channel series The Nine Lives of Chloe King and her role in soap opera As the World Turns. She has also appeared in episodes of Southland, CSI: NY, Greek, and The Unit as well as the made-for-TV movie The Jensen Project.

Division agents are being assassinated one by one. Amanda knows Percy’s trying to undermine her authority and realizes only he would want to make her look this bad. She reluctantly reaches out to Nikita with an offer she hopes will be hard to refuse: Stop Percy and she’ll hand over Ryan.

We’re excited to see Noah Bean‘s Ryan in play in this episode. And we don’t know about you, but we’ve been missing Sean so it’ll nice to see him back as well.

Nikita airs Fridays at 8/7c on the CW.
